Per Spindler
Per Spindler is the Director of the Biopeople, Denmark's Life Science Cluster, located at the Health and Medical Science Faculty, University of Copenhagen, and he is known as President and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the [...] Information Association (DIA). DIA is the global forum for knowledge exchange that fosters innovation to raise the level of health and well-being worldwide.
Higher Education
Spindler holds a DVM from University of Copenhagen, an Executive MBA from the Copenhagen Business School Executive (SIMI), and an MSc in Applied Toxicology from University of Surrey, United Kingdom. Dr. Spindler is European Registered Toxicologist (ERT).
Career
Spindler is Director of Biopeople – Denmark’s Life Science Cluster - at University of Copenhagen since 2005. Biopeople was the first European cluster organization within health and life sciences to receive the recognition of Gold Label of the European Cluster Excellence Initiative (ECEI). Before, he has industrial work experience from scientific and managerial positions at H. Lundbeck A/S, Novo Nordisk A/S and latest as Vice President at BioImage A/S, a spin-off from Novo Nordisk A/S. He has a medicines regulatory background from the Danish Health and Medicines Authority and the scientific committees of the European Medicines Agency.
