Peplink is a company providing Internet dual-WAN and multi-WAN routers, which aggregate bandwidth, perform load balancing and failover, maximize Internet uptime as well as business continuity.

A big impact of this class of routers is that they allow any company to enjoy redundancy of Internet services without the need of subscribing to special ISP services or making any special co-ordination with an ISP (or upstream provider). Traditionally, large enterprises or campus networks achieve Internet redundancy by getting multiple upstream providers, applying for own AS number and running advanced routing protocols such as BGP.

Multi-WAN router is capable to increase reliability and bandwidth of Internet by connecting to multiple independent ISPs at the same time. Peplink Balance performs just one type of multihoming - multiple links, multiple IP address (spaces). It does not require routing protocol like BGP, and thus avoiding many complications such as applying for own IP address space, AS number, and peering relationships. It supports link aggregation and load balancing. With multiple links connected, Peplink Balance will combine all available bandwidths when multiple concurrent data transfers take place. When a link fails, traffic will be automatically routed through another connection by the health check.
