Penelope Griffin

Penelope Griffin (b. April 9th 1971, Newark, NJ) is an American actress and visual artist. Her father, Gilberto Perez, was of Puerto Rican (Taino Indian, African and Spanish) and her mother, Geraldine Harris, is of Lithuanian and Irish decent.

Graduating from the Arts High Schoolin Newark, NJ, she opted for visual art, but never left her performing talents behind and quickly learned how to incorporate all of her loves in her lifestyle.

She performed in local theatrical productions and student film and started writing and teaching art to youth. As a professional artist, Griffin has been able to travel and work on projects and with people from every genre. Recently, Griffin has been able to appear in and do extra work for many major films and television projects including Hot Baby, August Rush, We Own the Night, Law & Order, Nickelodeon's The [...] Brothers Band and she obtained a principle role as Debra in The Narrow Road (also known as The South Ward).

In the coming year, Griffin hopes to obtain more significant acting roles and move forward in her goal of becoming a noted performer with award status. Additionally, she hopes to assist other actors from the Newark and surrounding areas to make their mark in the entertainment industry.
