Paul Cavell

Paul Francis Louis Cavell (born December 23, 1946 in Melbourne, Australia) is a painter in oil, acrylic watercolour, gouache, pen and ink drawing; Printmaker, film camera operator, teacher, illustrator, bookbinder and MusicAL instrument maker.

Career

Paul Cavell matriculated in 1964 with Hons in Art.

1965 Received Commonwealth Scholarship to Melbourne University (Architecture)

1967 transferred mid-course to RMIT for Diploma of Illustration and Graphic Design

1969 Appointed Illustrator and Graphic Designer to CSIRO Biological and Agricultural Services Division

1970 1972 Appointed Illustrator and Graphic Designer to Department Of Overseas Trade.

1976 - 1979 Taught Art and worked as a film cameraman and designer

1980 Appointed artist in residence at Geoghegan College, Melbourne

He is currently living in Castlemaine.
