Parsix GNU/Linux
Parsix GNU/Linux is a Linux distribution available as a live CD that can also be installed on a hard disk. It is based on Kanotix and Debian testing. Contrary to Kanotix, its desktop environment is GNOME. It is made in Iran, and supports Persian keyboard and users can switch to Persian language. It includes the xFarDic multilingual dictionary and Persian fonts.
History
The Parsix GNU/Linux distribution was first announced on January 25, 2005 by Alan Baghumian. The latest stable version is Parsix 0.90r2 (Barry), which was released on October 5, 2007.
