Palm City in Libya
Palm City is a residential housing development located 15km west of Libya’s capital Tripoli at Janzour, on the shores of the Mediterranean. Currently in its final stages of construction and due to receive its first residents in late 2008, Palm City is one of the largest real estate projects under way in Libya and covers some 14 hectares (140,000m²).
Palm City consists of 413 deluxe, residential units for lease comprising apartments, bungalows and villas. It is attracting interest primarily from the international corporate market seeking superior accommodation to rent in Libya for expatriate employees. The housing development is run by Palm City Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Mediterranean Investments Holding Limited (MIH); a 50:50 joint venture between Malta-based Corinthia Palace Hotel Company Ltd and Kuwait National Real Estate Company.
