OSCRE

OSCRE or Open Standards Consortium for Real Estate is a non-profit organization dedicated to the development of industry standards for data exchange. OSCRE has created and published a number of XML data schemas for defining structured data sets electronic application may use in exchanging and sharing records and data.

OSCRE - The Standards

OSCRE Data Formats

The OSCRE Standards allow different systems to communicate directly, saving time and money by eliminating the need to re-enter all that data manually each time.

The standards are a contextualised set of definitions and rules that facilitate the automatic transfer of data between different software packages.

Our methodology is process centric and focuses on data exchanges within the business process, encoded using XML.

But the standard is more than a set of XML schemas.

In order to successfully communicate, parties need to agree the meanings of terminology. Our approach allows us to capture these definitions in a structured manner, independently of the final representation in XML.
