Oregon Federal Junior Duck Stamp Competition

The Oregon Junior Duck Stamp is a competition. The object of this competition is to draw, or paint a duck, not by your own likeness, but realistic. There could be more than 600 artists competeting. The Oregon Junior Duck Stamp is for juniors ( K-12 ).

The rankings include 1st, 2nd, 3rd, honorable mentions, and last but not least, the Best of Show. the best of Show is the best drawing or painting in the show. The painting could be painted, drawn, black-and-white, and colored. The background must be a nature- type background. A disco background would be unacceptable.

There is also a Conservation Message contest, where you write your own conservation messages AbOUT wildlife. Conservation is a message that would make a person change their thoughts about wild life, for instance: Conservation isn't about us, it's about our children, and our children's children. And it's the best gift youll ever leave them: their future.

The prizes are: a ribbon, t-shirt, plague, certificate, and stationery of your own drawing. Cash is awarded too.

  • National Conservation message Second Place: $200

Competetors can also get disqualified (DQ) by: photographic duck, taking the credit of another artist, harassments, inappropriate forms and such.
