O.R.D.U.C.

O.R.D.U.C. (also known as Orduc) is a minimal music project/band from the Netherlands and founded in 1971. The full name is: One-o-seventh Royal Dutch Underground Company.

History

It started as a band and went which wanted to play a mixture of Frank Zappa's and Pink Floyd's music from the late 1960's. After a year only one member was left and it changed into a project for experimental rock. Gradually the music evolved to minimal-pop.
In 1980 Plurex' compilation EP "17 To 7 On 33" made O.R.D.U.C. ‘worldfamous’. Their song “Crazy Computer” opend this EP. In April 1981 followed the album “Pink & Purple” including "I Am So Glad The King Is Dead" and "Decadent". Later that year “Fast Forward” and “New Cubism" were released in a limited edition. “The Beatear” (1984) and “D-Train” (1988) were also released in a limited edition. Ten years later the compilation album "Bonus-Tracks" (1998) including the new song "Bonus-Track" was released. Over the years several tracks were released on compilation albums.
Recently (April and May 2007) O.R.D.U.C. has recorded two new songs.
