Operation Dive 24

Members of the Worldwide Christian Scuba Divers Organization (WCSDO) have created a unique event, Operation Dive 24. The event is geared toward raising funds for mission trips planned for 2015. The first trip is scheduled for the first week of February to the island of Bonaire located in Southern Caribbean. Working in collaboration with the International Bible Church (IBC) of Bonaire, WCSDO’s primary purpose is to minister to the locals while exploring God’s underwater creation. We will then travel to Roatan, Honduras in June, 2015 for our second time.

Operation Dive 24 takes place at noon on Saturday, December 27, 2014 and ends at noon on Sunday, December 28th. The event takes place at Jules’ Undersea Lodge in Key Largo, Florida, the diving capital of the world. A variety of activities are planned which include; water sports, arts & crafts, games for kids and loads of fun for the entire family. Jules’ the first underwater hotel, actually began its existence as La Chalupa research laboratory, an underwater habitat used to explore the continental shelf off the coast of Puerto Rico. Just to enter the Lodge, one must actually scuba dive 21 feet beneath the surface of the sea. Jules' really is underwater. Diving through the tropical mangrove habitat of the Emerald Lagoon and approaching the world's only underwater hotel is quite an experience. The hotel features pizza lunch delivery for visitors and breakfast for guests who stay overnight, as well as cozy beds, hot showers and a well stocked kitchen.

WCSDO, a missionary organization established as a non-profit organization (501c3) in 2009, with local chapters throughout the US. The Local Chapter Program was established as a method to continue their goal of missionary work year-round to help those in need, right in their own communities.
