OVS supports learners in a variety of ways including; the “Second Chance Protocol” where students have opportunities to redo a test, major assignment or even the final exam in an attempt to better their mark in the course. OVS courses adhere strictly to the Ontario Ministry of Education curriculum standards. OVS is inspected every two years to ensure compliance with the curriculum standards and administrative expectations of the Ontario Ministry of Education.
School registration is on a continuous entry system- meaning students can register anytime of the year and students can complete their courses anytime of the year. OVS Students ultimately work at their own pace to complete coursework. Students are given up to 12 months to complete the course, however how quickly the course is completed is entirely at the student's discretion. This means there are no specific due dates for assignments or assigned dates for tests to be written - everything is decided by the student. Students are provided with textbooks, learning aids, or other supplements at no additional costs. Students can request that marks be forwarded on their behalf directly to the Ontario Universities' Application Centre or Ontario College Application Service.
