Omar Monreal

Omar Monreal (born March 26, 1985, El Paso, Texas) is an American musician. He is the lead guitarist And Co-founder of the alternative rock band Aerial.

Personal life

Monreal is a self admitted hardcore gamer, stating in an interview that he has a backup Xbox in case the other one "goes down". He is a big fan of the Hitman videogame series, and once wrote a song entitled "Blow Me Away". Monreal also enjoys collecting life size superhero and action figures.

He is of Christian faith.

Monreal is currently endorsed by ESP Guitars and Marshall Amplifiers. Monreal currently uses Ernie Ball .011-.059 gauge strings. He also uses Dunlop 1 mm Tortex picks which are black with a custom logo.

On tour, Monreal takes AbOUT 5 guitars. He uses 2 main guitars, and the rest are back-ups for all the different tunings. Monreal has a range of different guitar tunings, including E, drop D, drop C, and drop B.
