Nurhan Demirel
Nurhan Demirel (born June 5, 1983) is a Turkish tech blogger, web developer, and writer.
Biography
Nurhan Demirel, who was born in 1983 Ordu. She attended “Ortaköy Zübeyde Hanım Anadolu Kız Meslek Lisesi” (high school) and graduated from Marmara University, Print Teaching department. During her school years, she worked with creative people in advertising and loved writing, painting and making new projects. She also won competitions in composition and graphic design.)
He first job was working as an intern grapher in Mass Group. Although she wanted to be a designer her main ambition was to be a writer.. After writing magazine pack content for Turkcell for 1.5 years, she wrote “RADAR” a black comedy program for TRT and BRAVOO, a prank program for KANAL 1.)
She later developed a keen interest in the internet and worked as editor for various internet sites. However, Pippa Bacca’s cruel death on 31 March 2008 was the inspiration for an international exhibition in Taksim Art Gallery which she helped to organise in memory of Pippa Bacca.) One hundred and twenty four international artists participated in this exibition. After this exhibition, she worked on “ A Cultural Treasure: Hasankeyf” exhibition, and gained important awards for the short movie “The Grave Inside Me” that was shot as part of the exhibition. ) In the last quarter of the 2008 she brought “ Smiling Faces Project” into action and on 16 February 2009 she made launching of the Project with “Artgale.com” in “ Depo Museum Gallery”. Within the scope of “ Smiling Faces Project” she worked in cooperation with Turkey’s celebrities; Azra Akın, Acun Ilıcalı, Altan Erkekli, Erdil Yaşaroğlu, Filiz Akın, Kaan Urgancıoğlu, Metin Üstündağ, Saba Tümer, Sırrı Süreyya Önder, Uğur Dündar, Tan Sağtürk and she organised an auction in “GittiGidiyor.com” . The money raised by this auction helped disabled people achieve their goal of climbing “Nemrut Mountain”). )
Nurhan’s other interests include health communication, corporate social responsibility, social media, strategic communications, public relations (PR) and blogging. As a health communications expert, she has worked with prominent doctors and companies in the health sector in Turkey. As a PR and strategic communications expert she works with K9 Academy and K9 Security, Part of this job involves working with the dog trainer Göktan Eker, to train dogs for security and civilian purposes including bomb detection, narcotics detection and search and rescue.
