Numara Software
Numara Software is a help desk software and service desk software solution provider for small and medium-sized businesses worldwide. Their two primary products are Track-It! and FootPrints, used by more than 50,000 customers worldwide, are designed to enable support teams to track requests and issues for IT, call centers, HR and inventory purchasing.
Brief History
Numara Software was founded in 1991 as Blue Ocean Software. The company grew quickly with its primary product Track-It!, a widely installed help desk and asset management solution.
Blue Ocean Software was acquired by Intuit in 2002 and became a wholly owned subsidiary under the Intuit umbrella. It continued to operate autonomously as Intuit IT Solutions, still focused on broadening the Track-It! family of products by adding new components in asset management, software patch and deployment and network monitoring capabilities.
In December 2005, private equity firm TA Associates purchased Intuit IT Solutions in a $200 million buyout, and renamed the company Numara Software . With offices in Boston, Menlo Park and London, TA Associates manages over $6 billion in capital.

Numara FootPrints is a ITIL v3 service desk web-based solution with a focus on issue resolution, change management, workflow management, service catalog and configuration management.
