nTrust is a Canadian technology business, headquartered in Vancouver, BC, Canada. The company’s proprietary mobile app enables users to deposit money into digital wallets where it can then be sent to other nTrust users and bank accounts, or used in mobile payments and bills pay.

In April 2013, nTrust announced its partnership with New York City-based Estimote to an iBeacon mobile payments solution, the first of its kind in Canada. Services

Online Money Transfers and Bills Pay

nTrust's main service is based around a mobile app that allows users to make global, peer-to-peer money transfers. Users sign up for a Cloud account, which they can use to store and send funds digitally. The platform supports deposits using traditional banking methods as well as electronic cash and wallet services, like Ukash, Dragonpay and GCash.

iBeacon and Mobile Payments

In May 2014, nTrust announced a partnership with hardware manufacturer Estimote to launch the first iBeacon mobile payment system in Canada. Retailers using this Bluetooth Low Energy technology will have the ability to send push notifications to users' mobile phones and be searchable on a proximity map, in addition to accepting mobile payments from customers through wi-fi. This technology was first publicly piloted at a series of food truck events in Vancouver which began in June 2014, and was released publicly in October 2014 to students at the University of British Columbia Point Grey campus.
