NK Kovinar Tezno
Nogometni Klub Kovinar Tezno () is a Slovenian football club from Maribor, which plays in the Slovenian Regional League, the fourth level in the Slovenian football system.
History
NK Kovinar Tezno was formed in 2006 under the name NK Tezno Maribor. However, the club was officially founded in 2007. NK Kovinar Tezno is legally not considered to be the successor of NK Kovinar Maribor and the statistics and honours of The Two clubs are kept separate by the Football Association of Slovenia and the Association of 1. SNL. As the old club was dissolved in the middle of the season, newly formed NK Tezno was allowed to fully finish the 2006–07 season.
They started playing in the Slovenian Sixth League. They gained promotion in the 2009–10 season, and was promoted again in the next year, to the Slovenian Fourth League.
Stadium
Kovinar Tezno plays their matches at the Kovinar Stadium, which is located in the Tezno suburb. The stadium can seat 200 spectators, while the overall capacity is around 1,000 (including standing areas). The stadium was once a speedway track.
Supporters
The club's supporters are named Rdeči Vragi (The Red Devils). They are mostly members of the Viole Maribor, supporters of NK Maribor, which are living in the Tezno suburb. They claim to have around 400 active members, and consider themselves as the second most active group in Slovenia.
