Nogometni Klub Cerknica (), commonly referred to as NK Cerknica or simply Cerknica, is a Slovenian football club from Cerknica, which currently plays in the Slovenian Third League. Cerknica was established in 1926, who currently plays in the Slovenian Third League, the third level of the Slovenian football system.

Club history

History of football in Cerknica dates back to 1926, which applies to the anniversary of the birth of football in Cerknica, when it was founded as ŠK Coprnica. In the same year, the ŠK Coprnica aroused a lot of interest in this sport among youth working class. Throughout this period, the club changed his name to NK Cerknica. Anyway the football was in second line in Yugoslavia, and the club always played in lower divisions. The club change this turn in season 2013/2014 when they reached Slovenian Third League
