Nivelu' 4
Nivelu' 4 is a ska-punk band from Brasov, Romania which came to life in 2007 when Robi (keyboard) and Casi (guitar) met Skippy (bass) and started to work on some songs. In 2008 the band focused on composing new songs, but also on finding new members. After a while they found Adi (vocals), who joined the trio.
Together with Tero (drums) they had a series of 5 events in the first part of 2009. Starting April, the band stopped playing at live gigs and again focused of composing new songs. In the summer, however, Tobi (drums) replaced Tero.
The fall of 2009 marks the release of the band's demo album "Eskapada" and the launching of the official website.
In the end of 2009 the band opened for E.M.I.L., Romania's most successful ska-punk band. In February, 2010, Stefan and Bughi, two trombone players, joined the band. After two rehearsals with them, Nivelu' 4 played in Iasi, at Moldavia's first ska event, called Ska Extravaganza, together with Ska Fara Trompete and Dance Trauma, two renowned ska-punk bands in the country.
Nivelu' 4 is on of the first bands that are trying to BLEND drum and bass music into ska-punk. With this, they are trying to get to the fourth-wave of ska music. Until now, their attempts are Armada Verbala, a cover of Suie Paparude's song and Romania, one of the band's funniest and most aggressive songs.
The band's lyrics are known to be funny and most of them are inspired by real life.
Their song called Lista Neagra(The Black List) focuses on the all bad things that people do to their fellow citizens and to the planet.
The band's concert from Club Suburbia, from the event called Pogo Fest, on April 24th 2009, was transmitted live all over the country.
