NIKSUN, Inc.
NIKSUN, Inc. is a multinational corporation headquartered in Princeton, New Jersey. The company was founded in 1997. NIKSUN designs, develops and sells cyber security and network performance products and solutions. The company made its industry debut with the creation of its NetVCR.
NIKSUN's Founder and CEO, Dr. Parag Pruthi, is regarded as the "father of packet capture". He has brought NIKSUN from a startup to a worldwide industry leader in the development and deployment of security solutions for modern networks. NIKSUN's solutions have had the capability to mine, index and inspect network traffic at multigigabit speeds for over 15 years. As of September 2014, NIKSUN maintains over 1,000 enterprise customers in over 30 countries.
NIKSUN caters to the network needs of financial institutions, global service providers, and defense and intelligence communities.
With additions to its toolbox of appliances and solutions, like the NetDetector, NIKSUN still posits its technological suite on its original focus: in-depth computer forensics and packet capture. NIKSUN’s NetDetector is a security forensics tool that is designed to analyze recorded traffic data and issue alarms to signs of potential network trouble. Whereas the NetVCR, with abilities likened to TiVo, catalogs and organizes packets crisscrossing networks into an internal database.
