Niklas Modig
Niklas Modig (born 7 May 1977 in Sweden) is a researcher, lecturer, speaker, fitness instructor and author. He co-authored with Pär Ahlström This is Lean – Resolving The Efficiency Paradox, the bestselling Swedish management book of 2012. He was a visiting researcher at the University of Tokyo where he studied Toyota's Japanese car dealers.
Education and career
Modig holds a Master of Science in Operations Strategy from Stockholm School of Economics. He was a student of the Stockholm School of Economics. He is a lecturer and speaker in the field of lean service and operational excellence. He was invited to the Swedish Parliament to speak together with Minister of Justice Beatrice Ask about how the Swedish police can work more smartly.
Modig also had a career in aerobics. He studied the 40 best aerobics instructor in Sweden analyzing their teaching techniques from a process perspective. Based on this research he developed the concept "Value Added Aerobics". For three years, he was a fitness presenter and taught classes based on the "Value Added Aerobics" concept for the Nike company.
