Nicole Nönnig

Nicole Nönnig (born August 9, 1982 in Karl-Marx-Stadt, Saxony) is a former German figure skater.

Nönnig started skating at age 4 at the club Chemnitzer EC. She began as a single skater, and her coaches were Jutta Müller and Nils Koepp. In 2001 she changed to pair skating. Her partner was Matthias Bleyer. The pair was coached by Ingo Steuer in Chemnitz. 2003 was their best year, when they won the silver medal at the German nationals and placed 8th at the Europeans. They never competed at the Olympics or the World Championships.

Nönnig became a Bürokauffrau (something between office manager and accountant). She then continued her education at the German Handelskammer to become a Betriebswirt and studied health management (German: Gesundheitsmanagement) in Zwickau.

Nicole Nönnig and Matthias Bleyer are now a couple.
