Nicolas Terry

Nicolas Terry is an origamist born in France in 1974 and currently lives in Grenoble. Between his studies fits to highlight engineer diplomat, Dr. in chemical and psychotherapeutic. He is currently a member of MFPP, , an origami group in France.

Style

Terry's style is very cartoonish.

"I never try to attain the realism. In that way that I am a Manuel Sirgo's insects and Robert J. Lang's superrealism fan and I achieve his diagrams when I can,but I do not interest the realism in my own creations."

His preference for cartoon-like figures over superrealistic sculptures leads him to care less AbOUT the strict proportionality characteristic of Lang and Satoshi Kamiya.

Works

At present, Terry has published one book: Passion Origami; Volume 1, in English and French. In it, there are diagrams for 24 models such as animals (rhinoceros, lions, butterflies, frogs), people such as Pharaoh Ramses, and also four crease patterns of fictitious beings.

Terry has a website where he publishes photographs of his works or of other creators. He also publishes some diagrams and CP'S.
