Nick Yawer
Nick F.K. Yawer (born December 26 1969) is a prominent British businessman, investor and fundraiser. He is an expert in foreign relations, banking and the Laws of the Sea Treaty, appearing on several news and television programs and referenced in major printed media articles. Nick Yawer lived primarily in the United Kingdom. He is a Business Administration graduate from the American University, and has over 20 years experience with computers, technology, marketing, advertising and corporate troubleshooting.
In the late 1980s and early 1990s, he worked for Commodore Business Machines as a project developer and marketing strategist and was the keystone in turning the Commodore Amiga which was viewed at the time as a games computers into a viable business machine. Working with Cadvision and Richard Nolan Nick Yawer expanded the Commodore Amiga into a full blown CAD workstation and introduced the first cost effective 3D CAD software (X-CAD 3d) with features that were more powerful and advanced than AutoCAD. The Prince of Wales (Prince Charles) was impressed with the product that on a visit to a London computer exhibition, he spent more time with Nick Yawer than with any other vendor discussing the architectural possibilities of the product and purchasing a copy.
Nick Yawer continued his business career in the U.K. by expanding Apple Computers dominance beyond graphics design and into mainstream business computing. Several large corporations expanded their networks to include Apple computers seamlessly integrated with windows based PC systems.
Nick Yawer also worked with McCann-Erickson Worldwide in developing highly successful advertising campaigns, most notably for Coca-Cola. During the 1990s, he spearheaded successful projects that included several chains of Hotels across Europe, golf course communities and foreign worker residential resorts in the Middle-East.
In 1999 Nick Yawer moved to the United States. He helped create the Business Solutions program for CompUSA. His team based in South Florida created a pilot program that was adopted nationwide. Nick Yawer received several awards of distinction and achievement from CompUSA.
Nick Yawer also worked closely with Republican and Democrat members of Congress in promoting Free Markets and Democracy, especially in the Middle-East. He organized several Free Market and Democracy conferences in Qatar helping to improve relations and open dialogue between the United States and Middle Eastern countries and spread democracy in the Arab world. Over 60 U.S. members of congress attended such conferences which are believed to have been the turning point in establishing a permanent U.S. military base in Qatar. Nick Yawer worked closely with the Islamic banking industry trying to improve transparency in an effort to reduce money laundering and [...] financing. He regularly attended Grover Norquist ATR (Americans for Tax Reform) Wednesday meetings. In 2005 Nick Yawer promoted and distributed a video with the U.S. Department Of State uncovering “Saddam’s Mass Graves” in Iraq.
Nick Yawer is an active boater owning his own boat restoration business called Yacht Bright as well as helping create and run a nautical newspaper called the Captains Quarterly. He is on the Board of Directors for Elite Computers, Kingfisher Media Group and FMCAT.
