Next Caller is a technology platform that reduces the cost and length of calls to businesses by sending detailed customer profiles directly to customer service representatives. It has been called “Caller ID on steroids.”

Next Caller's software is written in Python and is notable for its ability to integrate with dozens of content management systems, customer relationship management tools, and web apps.

History

Next Caller was founded in 2012 by Gianni Martire and Ian Roncoroni. The company started in the cofounders’ apartment in SoHo, New York City. It later moved to 175 Varick Street, New York City.

Next Caller was built as a consumer and business solution to supplement the short comings of traditional Caller ID. For consumers, the platform offers priority phone support, and an expedited call experience by transmitting necessary personal data electronically directly to representatives at the time of their call. For businesses, Next Caller offers cost savings and efficient data collection. By eliminating the need for agents to gather profile data manually, the Next Caller platform provides information at a fraction of the cost.

Product

Consumers who sign up for free profiles on the Next Caller platform receive priority customer service when calling businesses or call centers; they skip the hold line to reach an agent immediately, and are identified without having to answer personal identification questions. Next Caller has a patent pending priority routing strategy that ensures members achieve priority status. Next Caller members are also able to make secure payments over the phone. By securing a credit card or payment method with a 4-digit PIN, members can send billing information directly to the business’ payment gateway, eliminating the opportunity for human error.

Businesses who utilize the Next Caller platform receive caller profiles that integrate directly into their IVR systems. Authorized third party applications can also use the Next Caller API to integrate with the platform. The REST API authenticates with OAuth 2.0 and supports JSON and XML formatted responses. The most recent market data suggests that manually gathering basic caller information, such as the spelling of a caller's name, costs US businesses about $14.9B per year, at the rate of over $0.60 per call. Next Caller sells caller profiles to businesses for $.10.
