Necia H Apfel
Necia H. Apfel (born July 31, 1930) is an American astronomer, author and educator.
She graduated Magna cum laude from Tufts University and did graduate work at Radcliffe College and Northwestern University. She has taught Astronomy at the Adler Planetarium in Chicago 1 and the National-Louis University2 in Evanston, Illinois. She is author of two college textbooks on astronomy and numerous books for young people.
Ms Apfel is a mother of 2, grandmother of 4. She resides in Highland Park, Illinois USA. Now retired, she serves as President of the Friends of the Highland Park Public Library.
