Nazik Aslanyan
Nazik Aslanyan (Armenian: Նազիկ Ասլանյան), is an Armenian artist, born on February 20, 1977, in the city of Yerevan. Father Marzpet Aslanyan (1952-2009) was mathematician cibernetics, mother Karine Hakobyan is publicist, journalist and art critic. Nazik Aslanyan is grand daughter ofartist Vera Hakobyan(1928-2017)
Biography
1993-1999 Aslanyan graduated from Yerevan State Academy of Fine Arts. 1998-2002 she was lecturer of art history at "Quantum" college. Aslanyan started to exhibit her artworks since 1997. she had about 20 exhibition in Armenia and abroad. Her artworks are in the properties of private collections and galleries, also her artworks are at the permanent collection of Modern Art Museum of Yerevan. Since 2007 Aslanyan is member of Artists Universal, since 2008 she is Member of Artists Union of Armenia Aslanyan included in several international artists dictionaries and journals.

Art Statement
I search for the meaning and essence of life in elements of nature, which then transform into series of artwork, such as «The Tree», «The Flower», «The Sun», «Scenery», etc. In series called «The Flower» I underscore the idea of «an individual» and have depicted the living and breathing depth of this small element. The Sun is the light with its round shape that symbolizes eternity. And the more the reality darkens, the stronger the ray of light becomes, more expressive and more powerful. The more life fills with evil and cruelty and the black engulfs us, the more powerfully and intensely the light beams. These reflections on the realities of our era lead to finding them in the search of balancing light, thus I depict the Sun. The Sun, which floods everything with its light and warmth. And in that light I see the eternal strivings of humanity towards happiness. The series called «The Reality» illustrates the expressions of ideas and emotions, feelings and thoughts - phenomena, which play a far more significant role in the management of reality than what an eye may see. I demonstrate here the content of the shape, its idea. The series called «Scenery» represents the dynamic images that express the simplicity and contrast of nature. Through these paintings I transmit to the viewer the mighty and pure spirit of nature. And then «The Trees», which, it seems, shelter the sacrament of life under their barks. And if you manage to hear and see carefully, you will encounter the truth of life...
