Nava Karnataka 2025

Nava Karnataka Vision 2025 project is an initiative by Government of Karnataka to bring sustainable development in 13 key sectors in a consultative, participative, and inclusive manner in all 30 districts of the state by 2025.

AbOUT

The governance strategy initiative launched by Chief Minister of Karnataka, Siddaramaiah in September 2017, aims to bring development in the following sectors: Industrial Development, Infrastructure, Rural Development, Agriculture and Allied sector, Employment and Skilling, Education, Social Justice and Empowerment, Energy & Transportation, Urban Development and Smart Cities, Governance, Law and Justice, Information Technology and Biotechnology, and Health and Nutrition. The government decided to engage with the people on social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter and WhatsApp to invite suggestions and crowdsource actionable ideas, insights and diverse points of view to ensure its vision for 2025 reflects expectation of the citizens of the state.

Partnerships

The Government of Karnataka has partnered with the following organizations as consultants for development of specific sectors in the state Center for Study of Science, Technology and Policy (CSTEP), Grassroots Research And Advocacy Movement (GRAAM), International Institute of Information Technology, Bangalore, Institute for Social and Economic Change (ISEC), National Law School of India University (NLSIU), University of Agricultural Sciences, WRI India, Swami Vivekananda Youth Movement, Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI).
