Nathan James (DJ)
Nathan James (Born: 10 December 1985) is a freelance radio presenter and producer, based in the South of England. He has been heard on many stations with-in the area, and has worked in both radio and television.
Background
James started working in commercial radio in November 2004, when he was offered the weekday Drivetime Show and Commercial Producer role at Delta FM, the local radio station for East Hants, South-West Surrey and North-West Sussex.
James left the station in October 2007 to work behind the scenes for the BBC as a producer for both radio and television. He was based for a short period of time at BBC Southern Counties Radio in Guildford and Brighton, as a stand in Breakfast and Drivetime Travel presenter.
Television work over the years has included work on the BBC's flagship news programme, BBC Breakfast. He has also worked in regional television (still with the BBC) more-so with BBC South East Today, working on annual events such as Children in Need.
Current Work
Nathan currently presents the Evening Show and Saturday Breakfast Show on Play Radio UK, an online global internet radio station, broadcasting 14 radio stations worldwide via the internet. Both of these are broadcast on Play Two UK, one of the stations within the network.
Personal life
Nathan lives in Godalming, near Guildford, Surrey with his family. He attended Broadwater Secondary School in Farncombe, and then went on to continue his education, and studied Media at Guildford College.
James first became involved in radio at the age of 14, when he started working at his local Hospital Radio station, in Guildford. He previously had a career in retail, as a customer service manager at a DIY store in his local town. pah!!!
