Personal Life
Nathan Tyler Fisher was born on January 30, 1991, in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, (Home of Bucknell University), to Tracey Raquel Fisher, who is currently a mechanical engineer for RPA Associates, Inc.4
Nathan's biological Father and Mother were divorced before he was born. Nathan and his Mother lived in Lewisburg with his Grandparents until he was 6, when his Mother remarried. They moved to Allentown, Pennsylvania. His Stepfather was very abusive, and after 10 years, his Mother divorced her second husband.
During these 10 years, Nathan tried to get involved in any extra-curricular activity he could to spend the least amount of time at home as possible. He started taking ballet, and started to teach himself how to play piano. He was a member of Math Olympiad, and had several supportive teachers to foster his intelligence. In fourth grade, he started to take instrument lessons, for free at the school, and picked up several INSTRUMENTS very quickly. He joined orchestra, band, and choir and was in several select ensembles through his school career. Later, he would join the Junior String Philharmonic of the Lehigh Valley 5. He also participated in Lehigh County Choir, PMEA District Orchestra, and PMEA District and Regional Choir.
In seventh grade, on the middle school SAT's, he scored a 1580 out of 1600, and was given the opportunity to take the high school SAT's. He received 98th percentile in verbal and 97th percentile in math. With these scores, he was eligible to participate in the Johns Hopkins University's Center for Talented Youth Program.
At CTY, he attended Dickinson College during the summer of 2005 for Latin. He attended Dickinson College again during the summer of 2006 to take Music Theory. Then, during the summer of 2007, he attended Nanjing University, in Nanjing, China, during the first year the program was offered, to take Mandarin and US-China Relations.
During the first session of CTY, Nathan became a member of The Society for the Advancement of Youth. He is also a member of Mensa.
Before moving to Lewisburg, he was a member of the Lower Macungie Fire Department, with certifications in CPR and AED for the Professional Rescuer, NIMS, Haz-Mat, First Aid, the Essentials of Firefighting, and First Responder.
He has also been a certified PADI scuba diver since he was 10.
In 2005, he won second in the state for PJAS Science Fair for his work with electromagnets. In 2006, he won first in the state for PJAS Science Fair for his work with androstenedione.
Career
At the middle school Nathan attended, all students were required to take 3 years of sewing. He picked up sewing and pattern-making very quickly, and while students were making pull-string bags, he was making clothes.
When he became a freshman at Emmaus High School, he found out there was a costuming crew for the fall plays and spring musicals. He immediately signed up to be a member, and the apprentice of a senior who ran it. His first undertaking was the musical, Aida, where the costuming crew designed and produced 107 costumes.
Halfway through his freshman year, he moved back to Lewisburg, (where he currently resides), and founded Chevalier de Mode to satisfy the terms of the Pennsylvania Graduation Project requirement. During his sophomore year, for his Gifted Humanities class final, he created a presentation on Elizabethan fashion, with his "visual-aid," a recreation of one of Queen Elizabeth's ball gowns.
Some fellow students in his class asked if he would design and make them dresses for homecoming the following year, and he excitedly accepted. Through word of mouth, he accepted 37 contracts for homecoming of that year.
Nathan went through the process of setting up his business as a L.L.C., and hired other designers and seamstresses to help alleviate the work-load. Within 6 months, he picked up the interest of a British investor, hired a board of directors, hired a manufacturer, and launched a store.
Chevalier will shortly be undergoing an enormous expansion to ReDeSign the website, produce and air commercials, and open several other stores. Nathan is currently working with several (undisclosed) teen actresses for an advertising spokesperson.
His personal net worth (not including his family's wealth) is currently estimated to be $7 million USD.
Education
He is currently attending Bucknell University as a Pre-Med major.
