Nasser bin Radan Al Rashid Al Wadaei

Nasser bin Radan Al Rashid Al Wadaei (; c. 1883–1884 – 11 January 2026) was, according to Saudi media, the oldest man in Saudi Arabia. He died on 11 January 2026, at the proclaimed age of 142 years, his long life receiving the attention of media in the region.

Early life

According to his family and news sources, he was born during the late 19th century in the Dhahran Al area, now part of southern Saudi Arabia. He was born before Saudi Arabia became one country and is believed to have lived during the rule of several Saudi kings and political shifts within the region and the country. In his younger years, he traveled to work between southern Saudi Arabia and Yemen, a common occurrence back then.

Later years

In his later years, he was known by locals for his devotion to religious and social standing. According to the media, he performed the Hajj pilgrimage more than 40 times, making him a respected man with a role in community life, mediation and reconciliation. His family told reporters he was in good physical and mental condition, even in his final years, staying socially active in the community.

Family

Reports say that his last marriage was at the age of 110, and that he later had a daughter. It is said he had an extended family, as he left behind about 134 children and grandchildren.

Death

News sources reported that Al Wadaei died in January 2026, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. About 7000 people reportedly attended his funeral prayers were in Dhahran Al Janoub. He was buried in his home region.
