Past President Lion Najmudin Bookwala ( Manoj) Special Executive Officer Born on 6 June 1950 at Bombay in South Mumbai Districts in Ummerkhadi Taluka, my Father Mr. Gulamhusain Bookwala was a one of the oldest bookseller in Bombay, He was running New Model Book Depot and Express Book Agency at at Prathans Samaj, Kama Baug, & Girgoan, My Grand Father My (NANA) Mr. Hasanali Topiwala of Poona settled in Bombay was congress activists and Impress by Mahatma Gandhi, since the independent movement. He was a member of Khilafat Committee, I remember going with him to Byculla Khilafat House, to hear lots of Speeches, by many scholars of the political and social field. I remember, He told me to join congress and made me member of congress in 1965 as a primary member of Indian National congress, The fees to become a member at that time was around 0.25 paisa. I remember he said after paying money for my membership that this is not for fun but responsibility.
