Nahar Singh Jasol
Nahar Singh Jasol is a writer who has authored many books in Hindi, English and Rajasthan language pertaining to varied subjects like folk tales, history, rajasthani literature and translation of Gujarati books to Rajasthani and Hindi.
Brief
Born on 12 October,1936 to Rawal Amarsinghji of Jasol and Rani Vasantkunwar, he completed his Matric from Chopasani School Jodhpur in 1953, He completed his graduation(B.A) from SMK College Jodhpur in 1959. He was appointed as Naib-Tehsildar Pachpadra in 1960 however, due to his affection towards his father he left the job and served his father and was engaged in agriculture from the year 1960 to 1980. Later, he joined as Assistant Director of Mehrangarh Fort in 1980. He was elevated to the post of Director of Mehrangarh fort and worked in the same position from 1982 to 1999. He also served as the Sarpanch of Jasol from the year 1980 to 1990. He was elected as Pradhan of Panchayat Samiti, Balotra in 1995 as an independent candidate. Later, he served as the Chief Administrator of the City Palace, Udaipur from 1999 to 2003.
