We will assist you with the knowledge about an industry that is nearly impossible to get into unless you know someone. We navigate all the places you need to go for your child's career. Essentially we are here to become a part of the family. Welcome to the club!

If you are a kid, and you are ready to get your career going, you have found THE place to get started in the entertainment industry. There are a lot of things you need to do before you can start working in TV, film and commercials! We will let you in on everything you need to know. My Artist's Place (MAP) is a unique collection of resources for inspiring, developing, and enhancing the talent of young artists in the disciplines of acting, modeling, dance, singing, writing, beauty competitions and word of mouth marketing. MAP gives its members a proven game plan in which the artist gets to work with top entertainment pros that who will prepare them to be evaluated by top agents, managers and casting directors in San Francisco and Hollywood.

My Artist's Place is a club that has room for selected members who are looking to enrich their child's life while they grow towards their creative potential.

Our experienced talent directors are all driven by years of professional experience. Each one carries unique expertise in the industry. We value all areas that they bring to us in order to share with members of My Artist's Place. Collectively they have been involved with, managing, casting, camera work, modeling, acting, producing, writing, publishing, styling, singing and voice-over work.

Our Board is composed of industry professionals with over fifty years combined working experience in the Entertainment Industry. One of our members has been a TV producer and now is the owner of the TV production shop, "Another T.V Discovery." Another member has had long-term success as a top agent and manager in Hollywood, launching the careers of many young talented Hollywood stars. Our third board member is a highly successful "gap" film financier and also serves on the board of the prestigious UCLA Business School.

Just some of the Kids Who Have Made it through the Program...

Alia Shawcat was noticed walking down the street in Los Angeles. She has been in a National Barbie commercial, a movie with George Clooney, The Hit TV series, "Arrested Development" for her next movie, Deck the Halls, due out Fall 2006. Her discovery by MAP founder, Erik, has led to a huge career.

Aaron Michael DrozinAaron Michael Drozin's Star Aaron Michael Drozin had a starring role in the movie, "Fun with [...] and Jane." Aaron's most recent project? He got to be a star voice character in the movie, "The Ant Bully." And guess what? He's 7 years old. After a showcase Aaron just happened to be scouted by Eric DeSando, went through our program, and look at him now!

Dabier jumps to success; he and his dad are eating burgers one day and the next day they're eating on the set of Fat Albert. Dabir's destiny changed when he began working with one of the principals of My Artist's Place. All it took was being in the right place at the right time.

Leah Pipes went through our founder Erik DeSando's program which changed her life. She began with a National Pop Tarts commercial, then went on to a TV series, Lost, then was cast in a starring role in the Disney movie, Pixel Perfect. Leah is now working on the set of her next Disney project due for release in Spring 2007, and also stars in the upcoming Her Best Move, due out Fall 2006.
