Monica Sanz (born March 26, 1985) is a Spanish singer, model, producer and dancer, especially known as “The Goddess”.

Biography

She was born in Madrid, Spain. She has a younger brother. She made her first debut when she was 2 years old, and in 1991 she won her first beauty contest. One year later, she started to write songs and to take dancing and singing lessons.

When she was 14, after recovering from a foot lesion, she got accidentally into the fashion world although at first her work wasn’t very successful in her home country, which made her have some difficult eating disorders that she overcame.

Some years later, she worked for very important international campaigns, and she was in a high demand specially for beauty products and underwear.

In 2003, a driver crashed his car in a big avenue in Tokyo (Japan) while he was looking an advertising space where she appeared modeling with some La Perla lingerie. That incident made her advertise a car which was specially “safe for taking curves”. It was hardly criticized for thinking that the advertisement was machist. In it, the supermodel appeared modelling and wearing lingerie again while the car was avoiding her very closed to her.

Since then, she worked in more campaigns, and she got the nickname of “The Goddess”, that distinguishes her from the rest.

The last one in renaming her was the glamour photographer Victor Cucart, who also added that she is his muse.

In the year 2005, she left her career to finish her studies for becoming an Audiovisual Producer and starting her own musical career. Two years later, she was graduated as a Superior Technician in Audiovisual Production. She produced some projects and back to the fashion world again so, music was postponed.

In 2008 she started to produce her first musical project which will be probably listened at the end of 2009.

At the same time, her name is shuffled for becoming the next model for leaving her body to Lara Croft in the next videogame of the saga Tomb Raider: Origins, which is expected for 2010.

In February 2010, she released her first single "irresistible"

  • She graduated in 2007 as Top Technician in Audio-visual Production with matriculation of honor in cinematographic production and management and audio-visual promotion and she is her own musical producer.
  • She was very criticized when, in 2008, a rumor AbOUT an embedded diamond on her clitoris started in internet. She denied it immediately but nowadays there are people who still believe it.
  • She is a fan of Michael Jackson.
  • She is the first Spanish supermodel with an international fan club.
  • Her perfectionism, her talent and her admiration for Michael Jackson and for Angus Young’s guitar gave her the nickname of “The Big Jack” related to the “J” on the Poker Cards, Jackson’s surname and the song of AC/DC.
