Monica Elman
Monica Elman (born 1955) is a Romanian author and television host. She is a physician specializing in aesthetic dermatology and dermatological surgery.
Personal background
Monica Elman was born in 1955, in Bucharest, Romania. In 1990, following completion of her medical education, she participated in an internship at the Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center.
Professional background
In 1995, Elman established the first clinic to offer aesthetic laser treatments in Israel. She also speaks and leads training courses and workshops around the globe. She has conducted research and study in skin rejuvenation, laser hair removal, and blue light acne treatments. She also advises the public through various TV shows and news articles. In 2011, she co-authored the medical textbook, Aesthetic Applications of Intense Pulsed Light, with colleagues Lucian Fodor and Yehuda Ullmann. The book focuses on treatments using intense pulsed light and its various applications, which is intended for continuing education for medical professionals.
