Mondial Assistance

Mondial Assistance is the leading international Travel Insurance, Assistance and Personal Services Company. It has a staff of 9,817 people and works throughout the world with a network of 400,000 service providers and 180 correspondents. 250 million people, or 4% of the world’s population, benefit from its services. The Group is present in 28 countries on 5 continents. Mondial Assistance operates as a Business-to-Business partner, and develops innovative solutions for companies from the travel, insurance, automobile and banking sectors. The Group’s development relies on the creation of new services that respond to increasingly changing needs (telematics and GPS for automobiles, healthcare prevention and patient accompaniment services), and on new distribution channels like e-commerce.

Business Lines

Four business lines, four areas of innovation and growth:

Travel Insurance (48% of global sales): This activity is developing due to confirmed growth of the tourism industry and to the extraordinary development of e-tourism. Today, the Mondial Assistance e-commerce platform records more than 2,000 policies sold every hour.

Roadside Assistance Services (39% of global sales): This is Mondial Assistance’s historic line of business. On this market, Mondial Assistance has been able to secure new contracts with major automotive partners. The Group has also innovated within the insurance sector by extending the range of services for its automotive portfolios, and by optimising the implementation of these services via dynamic new technologies.

Healthcare and Personal services (8% of global sales): This activity is directly linked to a current trend in society that encourages healthcare prevention and accompanying aging populations. In this context, Mondial Assistance has developed original personal service solutions in France and Spain.

• Finally, the remaining services (property management and home repair, employment services, tele-surveillance…) represent 5% of global sales.
