Molotov Jive
Swedish indie/rock band from Karlstad in Värmland.
Molotov Jive, four guys from Sweden that has been making dirty rock 'n' roll since 2003, with the honest, sometimes seen as naive, teenage frustration in the right places. Their songs are about the time of youth getting longer and longer, about the frustration, passion och the life in the great. Musical counted, they say to have been inspired by everything recorded since 1963 until today. Mostly they lift out inspiration sources such as The Beatles, The Smiths and the early The Who, but you can also find similar sounds in the early Springsteen, David Bowie and The Libertines. They create messy and dirty rock with passionate pop-melodies and this fall their debut album will have its release through Bonnier Amigo Music
In March of 2006 their first single was released, "The Luck You Got", and in June their second single "Made In Spain" reached the stores. On 25th of October 2006 Molotov Jive released their debut album "When It's All Over I'll Come Back Again", with, among others, you can find "Made In Spain" which they shot the video for in Barcelona, Spain.

Anton Annersand Singer, songwriter and rhythm guitarist According to himself he is vain, disorganized and a leader. He tries to make Molotov Jive's music "make the hair on your arms to stand up - make you shiver when you listen to them". He wants to make "the young crowd feel and remember that they're in their greatest time of their life", and also make the older crowd feel young again. Annersand also says, on their website, that "Molotov Jive is their lives and above all it's a rock band that makes sure that the music comes first. It's honest music".
Anders Wennberg Bass player and back-up singing According to Anders himself, he is a very calm and pretty quiet person. Music is what Anders likes the best, both to listen to it and to play it by himself. And still he doesn't think he gets enough of it. He is happy to have the possibility to play (or listen to) music whenever he wants to or feel like it, and he will continue on playing and listening to it until he feels he has had enough of it. That day he will also cut his hair and get a job. But until then he has nothing planned.
Johan Hansson Drums, percussion and back-up singing Johan thinks he is "the kid of the band". To be on stage is the most important thing for him, and everything else in his life consists of waiting to get back up on the stage.
Oskar Olofsson Guitar Says his personality is "mad" Oskar grew up in the small town called Forshaga, 20 kilometres north of Molotov Jive's birth city, Karlstad. He had a hard time growing up in Forshaga, since the only thing you would do there was to perform some kind of sports or to play/listen to death metal. He did the best he could in the sports area, but he never gained any skills in any of the sports he tried out. When he finally gave up the sports, his only hope left was the music. But of course he listened to everything else than they rest of Forshaga's population did. During those "hard times" he learned how to listen to himself. At the age of 15 ha knew he wanted to be on stage, that he belonged to there. And two years later Anton Annersand shows up and ask him if he wants to be a part of the new band. Of course there was no doubt about it; he joined the band and was now the guitarist of Molotov Jive.
They are managed by Ian Hunter, a convicted fraudster from England.
