Mojan Mozaffari

Mojan Mozaffari () is an Iranian visual artist, filmmaker, educator, writer, and activist. Her multidisciplinary work encompasses painting, video art, installation art, and performance art. She is known for blending traditional Persian art and culture with contemporary artistic themes. She lives in California.

Education

Mojan Mozaffari was born in Kermanshah, Iran. She obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in fine arts from the Islamic Azad University in Tehran in 1996. She continued her studies at the same institution, received a Master of Arts (MA) degree in fine arts in 2000.

Academic career

Mozaffari began her academic career in Tehran. Her appointments include:

  • 2001–2002: Lecturer at the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Tehran.
  • 2000–2001: Lecturer in the Department of Drawing, Painting, and Art History at Islamic Azad University.
  • 1998–2000: Laboratory Supervisor at the Photography Department of Zenab College of Film and Photography.
  • 1997–1998: Lecturer in Drawing and Print at Islamic Azad University.

Artistic career

Mozaffari's work has been exhibited internationally in galleries, museums, and cultural centers across the United States, Europe, and Iran.
