Miss ZaNorte Beauty Pageant

Miss ZaNorte Beauty Pageant is the annual search for the most beautiful lass in the Province of Zamboanga del Norte, Philippines. The name ZaNorte is the shortened form of the official name of the province. The pageant is held annually as one of the highlights of the annual Hudyaka Festival. Several beauty pageants was held in the province in the past under different titles and differest organizers, started with Miss Zamboanga del Norte, then Bb. Zamboanga del Norte until it became Miss Zanorte, the pageant started using the new title in 2006, during the 2nd Hudyaka Festival.

The Contestants

Contestants in the pageant are winners in the local beauty pageants of the two cities and 25 municipalities comprising the province.

The Winners:

2006

Miss Ana Kristina Sazon representing Dapitan City with First Runner Up Miss Sheila Jaralve representing Dipolog City and Second Runner Up Miss Rodelyn Jabay representing Municipality of Labason. The pageant was participated by 25 candidates. Other Finalists are: Miss Kara Dangase (Katipunan), Aubrey Pulquerita Bonjoc (Sindangan), Sheena Quinanola (Polanco) and (Kalawit). Miss Sazon went on to compete in the Miss Turismo Filipina Beauty Pageant 2008 but was unplaced.

2007

Miss Mary Kris Grado representing Dapitan City with First Runner Up Miss Nikki Taylor representing Municipality of Sindangan and Second Runner Up Miss Farrah Sorronda representing Municipality of Polanco. The pageant was participated by 14 candidates. Other Finalists are: Aisa Mel Crisly Briones (Roxas) and Jesebel Gabato (Siocon). Miss Grado competed in the Miss Zamboanga Peninsula Beauty Pageant 2009 representing the City of Dapitan.

2008

Miss Mechelle Stephanie Eguia representing Municipality of Katipunan with First Runner Up Miss Ma. Kristina Junio representing Dapitan City and Second Runner Up Miss Marigold Manlosa representing Municipality of Polanco. The Pageant was participated by 18 candidates. Other Finalists are: (Sibuco), (Sibutad), (Siocon), and (Sindangan). Miss Eguia competed in the Miss Zamboanga Peninsula Beauty Pageant 2009 representing the Province of Zamboanga del Norte.

The Organizers

The pageant was conceptualized, choreographed and directed by Jayson B. Selves and Edlin Anthony A. Ang. Both were members of the Directors Pool of Mutya sa Dipolog Beauty Pageant from 1999 to 2004.
