The Miss Universe Nederland 1996 pageant was held on February 18, 1996. This year only 12 candidates are competing for the national crown. The chosen winner will represent the Netherlands at the Miss Universe 1996 . The First Runner Up would enter Miss International 1996. The Second Runner Up would enter Miss Europe 1996.
