Mir Muhammad Soomro

Mir Muhammad "Maqbol" Soomro () June 3, 1946 – ), scholar of the Sindhi, Persian, Arabic, and Urdu language, historian, biographer, poet.

Early life

Mir Muhammad "Maqbol" Soomro son of Moulvi Allah Buksh Soomro (Religious Scholar of Sindh) born in Hingorja, a historic town of Sindh.

He passed M.A. (Religions), M.A. (Islamic Culture). He also done Fazil Arabi, Arabi Khateeb Course from Dawah Academy International Islamic University, Islamabad. In 1984 he joined as Primary School Teacher in Hingorja, Sindh. In 1985 he became Lecturer in Dr. N.A. Baluch Model School, University of Sindh, Hyderabad. In 3 June 2006 he retired from service as Assistant Professor. He wrote many books including Tareekh-e-Hingorja (History of Hingorja), Tafsir of Quran "Riyaz-ul-Quran", Dastoor-ul-Islam a biography of his father, religious scholar Moulvi Allah Buksh Soomro, ھالتہ البدر فی تحقیق احکام السفر عربیand many more in Sindhi, Urdu, Arabic and Persian languages. His articles also published in Encyclopedia Sindhiana (prestigious Encyclopedic work) published by Sindhi Language Authority, Hyderabad, Pakistan.
