Miles Doherty
Miles Doherty is the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer of Summit Rock. Miles is a CPA with over 20 years of diverse experience in the investment management industry, including audit, operational risk management, fund administration, product development and structuring, investor reporting and all aspects of financial analysis and oversight. Prior to joining Summit Rock, Miles was Chief Operating Officer of JP Morgan Incubator Strategies, which provided seed capital to start-up and emerging hedge funds. He joined the JP Morgan Incubator business at its formation and was responsible for all non-investment activities during the subsequent five years. In addition, Miles was co-head of Operational Due Diligence for JP Morgan Alternative Asset Management, a $10 billion fund of hedge funds manager. Prior to joining JP Morgan, Miles served as vice president at Morgan Stanley in a variety of roles over a four-year period. He was the operations officer for the Firm Risk Management unit responsible for finance and business continuity planning. Miles also worked in the Operational Risk Management group within Firm Risk Management at Morgan Stanley, which included serving on various advisory boards for operational risk and alternative asset product development. Prior to Morgan Stanley, he worked at BlackRock in fund administration and Swiss Bank Corporation in internal audit. Miles began his career by working for nine years with Price Waterhouse focused on the Investment Management industry in their New York, Curacao and Luxembourg offices. Miles has a B.S. in accounting/marketing from SUNY Brockport.
