Mileo

Miles Curtis Sesselmann (born 16 January 1995) known by his stage name Mileo is an Multicultural Australian singer, songwriter and recording artist of European, South Asian and Mediterranean decent.

Personal life

Mileo was born in Sydney, Australia. His parents and family are from a multitude of cultures spanning across Europe and South Asia. Mileo began singing at a young age, and learned to play piano. He began songwriting and producing at the age of 14 years.

Career

In early 2013, Mileo signed with Sony Music Entertainment after flying overseas to meet with his manager. Mileo released his debut single "Echo" on 11 February 2014, which was co-produced by a Norwegian producer Thomas Eriksen. NRJ officially premiered the single "Echo" to radio late February.

Artistry

Mileo has been compared to artists including Avicii, Sting and Shakira for his ethnic-sounding pop music. His music also contains influences of Dance music and Bhangra music. Known for his sensual singing style and use of Indian/Arabic Melisma, Mileo's debut "Echo" has prominent atmospheric vibes among the same sensual singing style on a [...] subject. Praised for unusual style, critics praise his lyric and vocal content as "relatable" and "emotive" while retaining a sensual and [...] nature without use of explicit content.
