Mike Kavanagh (ice hockey)
Mike Kavanagh (born February 9, 1988) is an American professional ice hockey player who currently plays for the St. Charles Chill of the CHL.
Career
Kavanagh played his junior hockey for the New York Applecore of the Eastern Junior Hockey League (EJHL). He was named to the leagues All star team. He then moved to SUNY-Plattsburgh where he played from 2008 to 2010. In 2011, Kavanagh transferred to Curry College and played there for two seasons.
After college, Kavanagh signed with the Fayetteville FireAntz of the SPHL. He was called up by the Orlando Solar Bears (ECHL) in January and was soon traded to the Cincinnati Cyclones of the ECHL. Kavanagh was awarded a spot on the SPHL all-rookie team for his efforts. During the 13-14 season Kavanagh had a lot of success once again for the Fireantz and was sent to finish the season with St. Charles Chill of the CHL.
