Mike Dugeon
Michael Thaddeus Dugeon (born January 20, 1982) is an American politician and candidate for the 2013 mayoral election in Detroit, Michigan. He entered the race as a write-in candidate.
Early life
Dugeon was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, and attended Cooley High School.
Career
Prior to running for mayor, Dugeon was employed at a barber shop in Detroit.
Dugeon entered the 2013 mayoral election on July 25, 2013 as a write-in candidate in order to disenfranchise voters who intend to write-in Mike Duggan, a leading candidate in the election for mayor. He has not formally announced a party affiliation, but has posted that he is a Democrat on his campaign page.
Dugeon registered to vote for the first time on July 12, 2012.
Platform
In an interview with a local news station, Dugeon noted that his platform consists of "free Subway sandwiches, chips and pop for every citizen",
The Detroit News blasted Dugeon's move as a "dirty tricks" effort to suppress the legitimate votes of Detroit voters.
