Mickey Blue
Marté LaRon Manigault (born November 7, 1986 in North Charleston, South Carolina), also known as Mickey Blue, is an American R&B / Pop / Hip Hop producer, songwriter, and singer. He works primarily with R&B girl groups 3 Dvyne and Jayne Doe.
Early Life
Blue was born into a musical family. His grandfather, Raymond H. Griffin, Sr., was a guitarist/singer and had a local TV show in North Charleston,South Carolina with his twin brother the late Roy H. Griffin. Today many other members of his family sings and also plays a variety of musical instruments including, bass guitar, lead guitar, saxophone, drums, clarinet, and piano. Blue was born to singer/pianist Sharon Griffin (the fifth daughter of the late Raymond H. Griffin, Sr.) and poet Emmett Manigault. At a young age Blue had a love for music, thus composing and performing (piano) his own original piece called, "Sarah" (in tribute to his deceased great-grandmother Sarah Graham-Manigault) at age twelve. After accepting the gift to play music by ear, he eventually started playing for his church choirs. Secretly, he found a love in producing and songwriting and soon earned production and songwriting credits on the 3 Dvyne album.
