Michelle Buswell
Michelle Buswell (born August 3, 1983) is an American supermodel currently residing in New York.
Biography
Michelle was born on 1983 in Orange Park, Florida. Michelle was discovered in 2002 while she happened to be staying at a hotel where a modeling convention was taking place.
On Before Modeling: "I was really into surfing, so I just kind of wanted to travel a lot. And I was going to school, [where] I already had two years of nursing done, and probably join the military to pay for all of that."
Michelle played the flute in the band at her junior high. She was also involved in track during junior high and high school.
Career
On a trip to Disney World one day, she suddenly decided to enter a new models contest that was being held there and won, discovering she definitely had what it takes to be a model. Two months later she went to New York and signed with Marilyn Agency.
Her big break came when Steven Meisel shot her for Vogue America. Since then Michelle has appeared several times in the American and Italian editions of Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, ID and Numero. She was also featured in campaigns for Versace, Tommy Hilfiger and Alessandro Dell'Acqua. Michelle has become a fixture on the world's top catwalks, modelling for Anna Sui, Louis Vuitton, Yves Saint Laurent, Ralph Lauren and Chanel.
She has been featured in the 2005 edition of the Pirelli Calendar.
She has also done modeling for Tommy Hilfiger collections and optical wear that have been featured at Dillard's and other department stores.
