TV and media

Mica was first broadcast on Irish Television as 'the surprise star' of TV3's docu-drama "Diary of a Debutante". Dubbed 'the girl you loved to hate' by the Irish Independent and the speculation of many Irish blogging sites such as Bloggorah, Boards.ie, and the Chancer referring to her as a 'southside party legend and bona fide Celtic Tiger 2.5 cultural icon'. Due to the overwhelming success of the show, TV3 commissioned Paradise Pictures1 to do a follow-up programme 18 months later which aired as the finale to the new "Diaries Of..." series that came AbOUT after the success of "Diary Of a Debutante". Mica also gave InterViews with TV3's Ireland AM, a selection of Irish Radio broadcasts and worked as a frequent guest on RTE's Seoige and O'Shea. Fallout of the show

She was said to have been more than a little bit miffed about the way she was portrayed as a spoilt party-girl, who was filmed being kicked out of her debs at the end of the documentary.

Along with her best pal, young starlet Katie Cullen of Fair City fame, Mica raised eyebrows with her cushy lifestyle and trademark phrases like OMG for 'Oh my God', her talk of 'grade-A-banter' and calling strangers 'randomers.'

She received a TIRADE of harsh comments after the programme aired and ended up leaving her first-year course in UCD and quitting her favourite party haunts in Dublin for the delights of London. She subsequently battled bulimia and chronic hairloss forcing her to wear a wig.

Discussing the show online, satirical website Blogorrah described her as the "poster child for the Celtic Tiger" and described her as "a D4 diva with way too much money, time and access to cosmetics."
