Metal for the Masses
Metal for the Masses is a heavy metal radio show which debuted on Rowan University's WGLS-FM in Glassboro, New Jersey at midnight on January 10 1994. Originally hosted by Andy Gradel, the show was one of the few outlets for loud rock in the Delaware Valley and regularly featured up-and-coming bands of the time, such as Korn, Marilyn Manson and White Zombie, as well as established artists, including Metallica, Megadeth and Pantera.
As the show grew in popularity, it expanded to three hours and, after moving to Sunday evenings in June of 1994, moved to its current timeslot of Monday night from 11:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m..
