Men's White League

The Men's White League was a notorious Far Right political group that terrorized the streets of Melbourne, Australia during the 1930's. The Men's White League took much of its ideals from the NSDAP of Germany under the leadership of Adolf [...].

The group, considered by authorities as a militant group of terrorists achieved the closure of Jewish shops in the South East suburbs of St Kilda and Caulfield on June 27, 1936 and in 1941, the two leaders of the group, Jack Langman and Kurt Steiner were charged with the [...] of an influential Jewish leader, Rabbi Avraham Lipski. The political group, which at its height of popularity numbered up to 750 members, was disbanded officially by authorities following the arrest of its leaders.

The Men's White League, now an unofficial entity, were blamed by the Melbourne media for a wave of racist attacks on Jewish and immigrant targets in the 1950's, but no one was ever charged with an offence.
